Paper से Digital: Chemical MSMEs के लिए Practical Guide

Doesn’t-work moments predictable हैं — customer complaint जो तीन हफ्ते बाद trace नहीं हो पाती, inventory count ₹15 लाख off, GPCB audit जो preparation के तीन दिन खा जाता है। जब काफी ये pile up हो जाए, factory owner पूछना शुरू करता है: कैसे digital पर move करें production तोड़े बिना?

यह guide उस question का concretely answer देता है। “Consultants hire करो और SAP implement करो” नहीं — वह MSME के लिए wrong advice है। यह practical, phased path है जो हमने काम करते देखा है।

Wrong ways to move

Right path से पहले, common failure patterns:

1. Enterprise ERP खरीदना (SAP, Oracle, enterprise MSME variants)। Implementation costs साल की profit खा जाती हैं, 6–12 months लगते हैं, और shop-floor workers इसे use नहीं कर सकते। ज़्यादातर units जिनसे हमने बात की एक साल के अंदर quietly Excel पर वापस चले गए। Software billing जारी रहती है।
2. Local developer से custom software बनवाना। Cheap लगता है। ₹5–15 लाख costs, 6 months लगते हैं, और developer launch के बाद disappear हो जाता है। कोई maintain नहीं करता। 18 months में unusable।
3. Generic accounting software को manufacturing run करने के लिए force करना। Tally, Zoho Books, और similar accounting के लिए बने हैं — वे batch tracking, recipe management, या shop-floor QC के लिए designed नहीं थे। इन्हें twist करके fit करने का attempt quietly fail होता है।
4. “Right time” का wait करना। कोई नहीं है। Paper workflows का हर महीना technical और operational debt compound करता है।

Right path: hybrid paper-digital

Insight जो MSME digitisation को work करवाती है: workers को paper using बंद नहीं करनी चाहिए। उन्हें digital system चाहिए जो respect करे कि paper already कैसे काम करता है, augment करे, और data automatically capture करे।

अपने state की honest inventory से शुरू करें

Software touch करने से पहले, basics पर stock लें — आप actually जो products बनाते हैं (customer-specific grades सहित), आपकी standard recipes, raw material stock, GSTINs के साथ customer list, और जो QC parameters care करते हैं। ज़्यादातर MSMEs पाते हैं कि यह exercise inconsistencies surface करती है: supervisors के across same recipe के तीन versions, outdated customer GSTINs, parameters जो कोई सालों से measure नहीं कर रहा। इन्हें अभी clean करें — vendor की deadline के under नहीं, अपनी terms पर।

• 3–4 लोगों की team जो हर order memory से जानती है
